• Mark uses 10 Latin words – some

• He explains Jewish customs that

• “Straightway” and “immediately”
are prominent in the book – it
points to sense of action
• Mark is the shortest of the gospel
accounts
• The book stresses more of what
Christ did that what he said
• The book incudes 18 miracles but
only one long message (chapter

• About 95% of Mark is found in
Matthew and/or Luke
