Were the Deciduous Forest is
around the world.
• Deciduous forests can be
found in the eastern half of
North America, in the middle
of Europe and very many in
Asia. Some of the major areas
that they’re in is southwest
Russia, Japan, and eastern
China. South America has two
big areas of deciduous forests
in southern Chile and Middle
East coast of Paraguay. There
are some in New Zealand, and
southeastern Australia to.
The climate for the forest
• The average annual
temperature in a deciduous
forest is 55°F. The average
rainfall is 30 to 60 inches a
year.
The habitat or this forest
• Deciduous forests are forests in cool, rainy areas; they
have trees that lose their leaves in Fall and grow them
back in the Spring. Deciduous forests are found in the
center of the Earth and also have the 4 seasons: Spring,
Summer, Fall, and Winter. They grow for about 6
months at a time.
The animals that live there
• Some of the animals
that live there are:
ants, earthworms,
frogs, beaver
opossum, porcupines,
nightingales, rabbits
and surprisingly Bald
Eagles. Some pictures
of the animals.
What are it features land or water
• Its features is land.
The habitat of this forest
• This forest is a habitat for many creatures like
from little mice to big black/brown bears.
Consumers of the Deciduous
• Grass (Producer)
• Grasshopper (First level)
• Rabbit (Second level)
• Fungi (Decomposer)
Grass hoppers
• The grass hopper’s color is
•
•
•
•
mainly green. They have wings
to fly and there legs have
sharp hairs to protect itself
It survives by camouflaging
itself
It’s habitat is the Deciduous
Forest’s grass, trees, and
bushes.
It eats plants, small insects
and bugs.
The organisms that want to
eat it are little rodents.
• It communicates by rubbing
there back legs.
• There young are born in eggs
and the female grasshopper
abandons her young (doesn't
take care of young) and eats
her mate.
• We shouldn’t have a concern
because there everywhere
even in your back yard.
Rabbit
• Rabbits are small fluffy animals • It survives by:
(not Rodents) they have long
• Camouflage (their coloring
ears, either pointing up or
lopping downward, 4 legs with
5 claws on each front foot and
4 longer claws on their large
flat back feet. Sloping backs
down to small bun style tails,
large eyes on the side of their
heads, either brown or less
frequently blue or grey. They
have prominent front teeth
with a twittering nose above.
• It’s habitat is the Deciduous
Forest’s ground (their burrows)
blends in with their
surroundings),
they can remain motionless, so
as not to be seen, they can
run fast and have a long gait,
their hearing is very good, (but
the long ears are for cooling
their bodies), they build their
homes in places that predators
can't easily access,
and they have very sharp
claws with strong hind legs for
kicking.
• They eat grass.
• Bigger omnivores like foxes
and bears will eat them.
Rabbits (continued)
• They communicate by grunting lowly.
• Its young look like mice with no hair.
• They take care of there young by protecting
•
•
•
them from harm and feeding their young baby
rabbits .
There are similar by what they look like the baby
and the adult look the same.
We shouldn’t be worried too much
We can help them by fall back on hunting them.
