Shoreline Community College All Campus Meeting March 6, 2009 Budget Reduction - FY 2010 $2.4 Million (10%) $3.6 Million (15%) target to be determined… American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 • Washington’s share >$6.7 billion – Education block grants to local school districts and public colleges and universities - $820 M – Flexible block grants to avert budget cuts in K12, higher education, or other basic state services - $182 M – Pell grants. Increases maximum grant to $5,350 in 2009, and $5,550 in 2010.
