We are using this program to formalise and connect our business improvement activities – Relationship Management, lean, 5S, Six Sigma, SMED, Value Steam Mapping, etc. Bloodhound SSC Newburgh are proud to be product sponsors of the worlds first 1,000mph+ car. Bloodhound is an iconic program created to stimulate engineering and sciences as a career choice to address a pending shortfall in key skills. We supply parts to the program as well as working with local schools and colleges to promote the project and to raise the interest and awareness as to where an engineering career can lead to. The UK / Norway program What we hope to get from the program a knowledge of •The Norwegian Market place and its sectors •How the market functions, who orders, where, when •What drives the procurement decisions •What manufacturing capability sits in Norway and how is it used •How to develop and expand our Norwegian customer base •What products that are bought out and the export opportunities •How to develop and deploy our Norwegian export strategy •Working collaboratively to build new business partnerships in Norway From our mentor we are looking for a candidate / company that can support and facilitate the above whilst developing an open partnership that will share ideas and best practice. This support is likely to come from a Tier 1 organisation that supplies larger engineered components and assemblies into major Oil & Gas capital projects.
