The Mantle of Sonship

1. We have the seed of God implanted in our soul.
Matthew 13:37-39—And He said, "The one who sows
the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the
world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of
the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil
one; and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and
the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are
angels.

1. Jesus said that word would produce sons of the
kingdom. The seed that is deposited in us will
determine our expression of that seed. It molds us
and shapes us into conformity with that seed or word
from God.
The Word of God is Seed

1 Peter 1: 22-23.—Since you have purified your
souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in
sincere love of the brethren, love one another
fervently with a pure heart, having been born
again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible,
through the word of God which lives and
abides forever,

Leadership has the great responsibility of making certain that
the seed or word that is deposited within the hearts of people
is a pure and unadulterated "word". A polluted word
produces a polluted harvest with great mixture.

Webster's dictionary was first written as a standard for the
meaning of words and language so that the King James Bible
would not lose its impact in the English society

in 1828 Noah Webster's dictionary gave this as an example
when defining truth: "to rely on the truth of spiritual
prophecies." Webster seemed to think that spiritual
prophecies were based on truth. How far we as a society
have come from defining what truth means! Today, the many
people in the world believe truth to be relative. They feel
each person can have their own version of the truth - that
there is no ONE truth out there. Jesus said he came to bear

John 16:13—But when He, the Spirit of
truth, comes, He will guide you into all the
truth; for He will not speak on His own
initiative, but whatever He hears, He will
speak; and He will disclose to you what is
to come.

John 17:17—Sanctify them in the truth;
your word is truth.
Former and Latter Rains= Teaching &
Maturity

Joel 2:23-24—So rejoice, O sons of Zion, and
be glad in the LORD your God; for He has given
you the early rain for {your} vindication. And
He has poured down for you the rain, the early
and latter rain as before. The threshing floors
will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow
with the new wine and oil.

Former=mowreh (mo-reh'); from 3384; an archer; also teacher
or teaching; also the early rain [see 3138]: (early) rain.
1. To soften the ground

Latter=malqowsh-the latter rain, the spring rain; the March and
April rains which mature the crops of Palestine
1. To Ripen the Harvest

James 5:7—Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of
the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the
earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and
latter rain.
1. Coming = Parousia; Presence
Progressive Revelation and the
Moves of God

Joel 2:25-26—So I will restore to you the years
that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling
locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing
locust, my great army which I sent among you.
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and
praise the name of the LORD your God, who has
dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall
never be put to shame.

In each expressions of revival there was a certain
portion of the word that was deposited in the hearts
of those who stewarded the revival. Now the final
outpouring of the Holy Spirit will be the
manifestation of God's sons who are in His likeness
and carry His ability.

2. It will literally be Christ in you. Colossians 1:27.

Exodus 19:3–7… in the beginning God desired to set
apart Israel as a kingdom of priests and a holy
nation. That is now our privilege in this final hour. It
is important to notice this was conditional what
follows the word "if" is of vital importance.
By Revelation—Enoch Walked with
God

Hebrews 11:5—By faith Enoch was taken
up so that he would not see death; AND
HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD
TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the
witness that before his being taken up he
was pleasing to God.

Salvation is free but spiritual maturity and
authority with God is costly. Every major
champion recorded in the Bible paid a price for
the place they carried in God. To have
someone's mantle simply means to find that
place in God that they enjoyed.

Romans 8:14—For all who are being led by the
Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:29—For those whom He foreknew,
He also predestined to become conformed to
the image of His Son, so that He would be the
firstborn among many brethren;
