If your child becomes ill during the school day, the nurse will call you to pick up your child. If your child calls you first instead of going to see the nurse, please instruct them to go see the nurse, and then you will be called.

Immunization Requirement

Proof of T-dap must be on file

State law requires exclusion from school of students after 9/10/2013, who have not provided proof that the student has received Tdap.

After School Sports/Activities

• It is the parents responsibility to notify the coach or club sponsor of any medical issues related to the student.

• If medications are needed during the sport or club activities, the parent needs to notify the school nurse so we can discuss obtaining physician orders.

• The nurse will train the coaches and club sponsors if needed. • Notification needs to be done for each new sport or club the student attends

1. What time does school start and end?

School starts at 8:02 and ends at 3:07.

2. Do I have to ride the bus to school?

No, but we highly recommend it!

Students may not be dropped off at these locations.

3. If my son/daughter needs to leave school for any reason, what do I do?

1. Fill out a “Parent Communication” form and send it into school. Student is responsible for turning it into the front office after checking in with their first bell teacher.

2. You will need your photo ID to pick up your child. (If it is not the parent or an older sibling picking up the student, the adult picking up needs to be listed on the EMR form.) 3. Student is responsible to be in the lobby at pick up time so we do not have to interrupt classes with reminder calls.

What do I wear to school?

Presentable clothes.

Read dress code carefully!

When do I eat lunch?

During your 5 th bell class. You have 49 minutes of class and 30 minutes for lunch.

Sodas and energy drinks are not to be brought to school.

Only two snacks will be permitted.

Where do I find my locker?

Your locker is near your 7 th bell class in most circumstances. Larger classes may be assigned differently (i.e. choir).

What do I need for the first day of school?

Paper, pen/pencil, your summer reading book and assignment. Check school supply list.

8. Can I carry my book bag to classes on the first day of school?

Yes.

9. Am I allowed to carry my book bag to my classes once I’ve been assigned a locker?

No.

10. Can I bring my own computer?

Yes, you must register the device and complete modules to receive an “Aviator Boarding Pass” on Parent Portal!

11. If I forget something like my lunch, athletic equipment, or assignments, can my parents drop it off?

Yes, but we do not interrupt classes, so you will need to check the
