Overview
Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit
courses provide opportunities
for Georgia high school
students to take college-level
courses and earn concurrent
credit toward a high school
diploma and a college degree.
Overview
•
Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses are
primarily available for any eligible 11th or
12th grade high school students.
•
They may enroll full-time or part-time in
approved credit-bearing college-level
courses by the State Board of Education.
•
Courses may be taken before, during or
after regular school hours, on the college
campus, on-line or at the high school
during the regular school calendar year.
Dual Enrollment – Move on When
Ready (MOWR)
• A new dual enrollment opportunity for students to
attend a postsecondary institution full-time during
their junior and/or senior year of high school (take
all classes at a college campus)
• Students will receive high school credit and college
credit simultaneously while attending college
classes on the college campus fulltime. Approved
college on-line courses can also be taken that meet
high school graduation requirements
-Tuition, materials and mandatory fees are paid through
local system funds
- Students can live on campus or commute but are
responsible for these expenses
- All high school End of Course Tests and Georgia High
School Graduation Testing requirements must be met
- Classes do not count against the HOPE Scholarship or
Grant hours
Accel
… is a non-need based program offered
for students that wish to take collegelevel (academic-only, degree-level)
coursework for credit toward both high
school and college graduation
requirements. Students may attend parttime or full-time.

public high schools in our local partner districts to complete Georgia Tech Math
1502 and 2401 (Calculus II & III). Upon successful completion of these courses, the
student will receive Georgia Tech credit.
Competitive Admission
Admission to the Distance Calculus Program is a competitive review process, as we
have more qualified applicants for the program than space available. Please note
that meeting the minimum requirements listed above does not guarantee admission
to the program. Additionally, registration for the course in your high school does not
guarantee admission to the program. Applicants to the program will be evaluated
according to a holistic review process, and we will consider a student's overall
mathematics performance when making our admission decisions.
