1. The Question
We in fact live in a large ecosystem. without the
help of other plants and animals and
conditions we might not be able to survive.
An ecosystem is very valuable or important to
our lives. For examples, the pictures show
trees and water. Think about which animals
and plants would live-in this type of
ecosystem.
An ecosystems is where all things living and
non-living come together to help one
another survive.
On the next page you will see a website and this
will show you what types of things such as
animals, plants, soil etc. live in different
ecosystems.
What are the valuable (important)
parts in an ecosystem?

ecosystem is more than just animals.
The website is the following.
Double click on the title that is underlined
in green.

This is going to take you to a page where
you will read some information about
ecosystems.

5. Enrichment Activities
The following are activities to complete if
time is left over or you finish early:
*Compare your ecosystem with a
partner.
*KWL
* Word search (I printed this out as
a worksheet because I was having
trouble hyper linking it. But I
would it available to open up just
like the KWL)

OBJECTIVES
Describe things as accurately as
possible and compare observations
with those of others.
Describe and compare things in terms
of number, shape, texture, size,
weight, color, and motion.
Draw pictures that correctly portray at
least some features of the thing being
described and sequence events
(seasons, seed growth).
Have opportunities to work with a
team, share findings with others, and
recognize that all team members
should reach their own conclusions
