Hanover Lantern History
•Started in Hanover Pennsylvania in 1970 as a pattern shop.
•Began making lanterns to sell in Gettysburg, PA as tourist souvenirs
•Eventually Hanover purchased a local foundry and became fully integrated
into fixture manufacturing.
•In 2007 Hanover was purchased by Genlyte
•2008 led to the purchase of Genlyte by Philips which brought the Hanover
lantern line to the largest lighting manufacturer in the world.
