 Founded in 1957, as an integration of various pre-existing
Centres and Laboratories

INSTITUTIONAL MISSION
 To develop high-level technical consultancy, research &
development, and technology transfer in the fields of civil
engineering and related environmental issues
 To serve the Government, public institutions and private
companies in Spain and abroad
 To co-operate with related foreign and international entities in
technical co-operation programs, associations, ...
 To support technical capacity building: long and short-term
courses, conferences and other training activities in order to
promote the transfer of technology
