Penny's Bay, and on a main transit route
from the new Hong Kong International Airport.

of tourists a year, create thousands
of jobs, enrich the quality of life,
and enhance Hong Kong's international
image.

Step onto Main Street, U.S.A. and time
seems to slow down amid the sweet smells
of fresh baked goods and candies, and the
soft glow of street lamps. Main Street brings
to life the typical Midwestern town of the
early 1900s and serves as a fitting
backdrop to a variety of charming shops
and restaurants, as well as lively marching
bands and parades.
People have always gazed to the
heavens and dreamed of exploring the
distant reaches of the universe to discover
untold wonders. In Tomorrowland ,
that dream inspires fantastic
Disney adventures.
The happiest land of them all, Fantasyland is
a timeless realm of imagination and enchantment
where childhooddreams come true. It's a magical
place within the walls of a fairy tale castle,
where "once upon a time“becomes
real and everyone lives happily ever
after. Beyond the drawbridge that
leads into the castle, classic
childhood stories are brought to
life in the festival courtyard.
Adventureland speaks to the courageous
spirit in the hearts of everyone. It's an exotic
trek into unexplored regions. As you cruise
into a jungle along hidden
waterways, you'll find mystery,
intrigue and surprises at every bend.
For your comfort and pleasure, we present the Hong Kong
Disneyland Hotel. Here you will discover a world of luxury, grace
and charm. An elegant world of towering turrets, crystal chandeliers,
sweeping staircases, coattails and top hats. A world that's fine,
fabulous, fantastical... and above all, fun !
Enter the Walt Disney Studio gate into the grounds
of Disney's Hollywood Hotel. Drive along Hollywood
Boulevard, past vintage cars, through Californian scenery
and into the embrace of the glittering, glamorous Golden
Age of Hollywood.
The Disney resort site will take advantage of the
location's easy access by rail, highway and ferry to attract
guests to the park. It is located 10 minutes from the new
airport (also on Lantau Island) and 30 minutes from
downtown Hong Kong.
The MTR Disneyland Resort Line,
which comprises two new stations –
Sunny Bay Station and Disneyland
Resort Station - and whimsical Disneythemed trains. Hong Kong Disneyland
guests an exciting and convenient
journey - at just 23.5 minutes from
Central.
The whole resort reclamation of about 60 hectares of land ;
construction of about 1,600 metres of permanent sloping
seawall; construction of stormwater drainage system; and
implementation of environmental impact monitoring
and mitigation measures.
The scope of soft landscape works includes woodland planting, planting
along main roads, structural planting on landscape berms
and parkland planting. Transplanting of large trees
and rare species has been carried out. More than 5
million number of plants will be planted. The
total planting area is around 110 hectares.

It is estimated that Hong Kong
Disney will attract 3.4 million
incoming tourists in Year 1,
rising to 7.3 million after 15
years.
The world-class theme park has the potential to
provide Hong Kong with a net economic benefit of up
to $148 billion over 40 years.
The 'base case' scenario developed by
Disney for Phase I of the theme park and
evaluated by the Government puts the
net economic benefit (in terms of
additional value added or income over
cost) at $148 billion over 40 years.
About 18 400 new jobs are expected to be
created directly and indirectly on opening, rising to 35 800
over a 20 year period.
In Hong Kong, the company will develop
suitable training packages for a wide spectrum
of Hong Kong Disneyland employees. A 'Disney
University' will be established as part of this process.
Every year on December 5, Hong Kong
Disneyland celebrates Disney's Imagination Day™,
communicating the universal language of art.
This is an annual competition to inspire
Creativity and artistic expression by inviting
children to create art through music,
picture or prose. In 2003, winners had
their musical creations performed
and showcased by Disney
professionals.
