Awoke early and had nothing better to do
Talk with friends
Hear a good message
Praise the Lord
Get intimate with the Father through Jesus
ARE YOU SATISIFIED WITH THAT?

We are taught to be content with where we are
and what He has given us to do.



“Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with
insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with
difficulties, for Messiah's sake; for when I am weak,
then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10
“Make sure that your character is free from the love of
money, being content with what you have; for He
Himself has said, ‘I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR
WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,’ ” Hebrews 13:5
"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become
tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no
longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and
trampled under foot by men.” Matthew 5:13
SHOULD WE BE CONTENT WITH
THE “STATUS QUO” OF WORSHIP?

When have we “arrived?”

“Although Moses was one hundred and twenty
years old when he died, his eye was not dim,
nor his vigor abated.” Deuteronomy 34:7
WHO SHOULD WORSHIP?
Should everyone worship?
“All the ends of the earth will remember
and turn to the LORD, and all the families
of the nations will worship before You.”
Psalm 22:27

The scene is read through by all the actors
The scene is “blocked” by the stage director
The scene is rehearsed with the blocking and acting
(usually 5 - 8 times)
The scene is rehearsed “off-script” (usually 2-3 times)
The scene is rehearsed within the context of the full Act
(Act 1, Act 2… usually 2-3 times)
The acts are rehearsed with the technical crew
The entire show is rehearsed in completion; i.e. “dress
rehearsals”.
The entire process usually takes around 6 weeks
Broadway Productions can “run” for years; decades
The Illusion of the First Time

How does the performer keep from getting sick of
the production?







Continue to rehearse weaknesses with the other actors
Work on improving your performance
Work on audience communication
Play with the delivery [humans on stage – & in audience]
Change the inflections
Go beyond the script to the writer’s intentions
Challenge other performers to do likewise
THIS IS THE AIR I BREATHE
[ Bb/C ]
This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe,
Your Holy Presence living in me.
This is my daily bread; this is my daily bread,
your very Word spoken to me.
And I, I’m desperate for You; and I, I’m lost without You.
This is the air we breathe; this is the air we breathe,
Your Holy Presence living in us.
This is our daily bread; this is our daily bread,
your very Word spoken to us.
And we, we’re desperate for you,
and we, we’re lost without you.

LET THE WEIGHT OF YOUR GLORY FALL
[ Cm ]
Spirit of the sovereign L-rd,
come and make Your presence known,
reveal the glory of the living G-d.
Spirit of the sovereign L-rd,
come and make Your Presence known,
reveal the glory of the living G-d.
Let the weight of Your glory cover us,
let the life of Your river flow,
let the truth of Your kingdom reign in us,
let the weight of Your glory,
let the weight of your glory fall.
(Repeat)
LET THE WEIGHT OF YOUR GLORY FALL
[2]
And we do not seek Your hand,
we only seek Your face. We want to know You,
we want to see You reveal Your glory in this place.
Let the weight of Your glory cover us,
let the life of Your river flow,
let the truth of Your kingdom reign in us,
let the weight of Your glory,
let the weight of your glory fall.
(repeat)
Let the weight of Your glory,
let the weight of your glory fall.
THIS IS THE TIME
[ G/Ab ]
Holy! Holy! Holy is Your Name,
Worthy! Worthy! Let all the earth proclaim.
Mighty! Mighty! There is no god like You,
and we worship You in Spirit and in truth.
Holy! Holy! . . .

CRICIFIED FLESH
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire
of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and
the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one
another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But
if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the
deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity,
sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities (hostility; hatred; ill will;
animosity; antagonism), strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger,
disputes, dissensions (disagreement; discord), factions (a group or
clique within a larger group), envying, drunkenness, carousing (to
drink deeply and frequently), and things like these, of which I
forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who
practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such
things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus
have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live
by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-25
GOD’S RESPONSE TO
ABRAHAM’S FLESH!
Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife,
you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be
her name. I will bless her, and indeed I will give you
a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be
a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from
her.” Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed,
and said in his heart, "Will a child be born to a man
one hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety
years old, bear a child?" And Abraham said to God,
"Oh that Ishmael might live before You!" But God
said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son,
and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish
My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for
his descendants after him.” Genesis 17:15-19
