Tunnels with putty part 1
Create a new connection:
Goto Connection-> SSH -> Tunnels
add tunnel to this connection
hostname: stud.technion.ac.il port:22
Saved Seassion: stud.technion.ac.il (tunnel srv-1)
Source port: 50022
Destination: ssdl-lnx-srv-1.cs.technion.ac.il:22
Press the add, and you will see it in forword ports.

Then press Add and it will
look like this:

Go back to seasion and press save, and open
Connecting to yp-X, Author Dror Baum
Connecting/configuring new tunnel.
Use your t2 user and password and connect.
Don’t close this connection.
Open a new putty window.
Create a new connection:
hostname: localhost
port:50022
Saved Seassion: localhost50022 (srv-1 tunnel yp-1)
With tunnel:
Source port: 60022
Destination: ssdl-lnx-yp-1.cs.technion.ac.il:22
Don’t forget to save it before you connect. (or you
will have to configure it again)
Connect to it.
Both connections must be open, if one is lost, your
connection is lost..

NX Client
Start the NX client,
And connect to localhost port 60022
(this is the last tunnel which you created)
User name is ypX user
password is ypX password
Desktop UNIX, GNOME
ADSL
Save and connect to it.
Now you have full GUI access..

Create a new seassion:
Hostname: localhost
Port 60023
Save it, and login.
Now you have scp connection
And you can copy files easily…
