Specific challenge: neighbouring countries with Stabilization and Association Agreements (SAA)
Scope:
• research should include stock-taking of existing relations between EU and each of these countries, as well as between the countries on the Balkans • • • • key issues: socio-economic development, identity politics, ethnic conflicts, gender equality, migration examine how scientific cooperation and the mobility of the researchers inrease understanding role of the macro-regional strategies (Danube RS), and other powers should be analysed participating partners from the Balkans is strongly encouraged
