DEMONSTRATION OF THE PROCESS
TECHNICAL COORDINATOR TASKS
Technical Coordinator Tasks
• Confirm that all computers meet hardware and software
requirements.
• Download Secure Tester.
• Whitelist https://prodsnibtp.fldoe.org in any URL blocking
software or web proxies (i.e. iBoss, K9, Check Point, etc.)
• Update any firewalls to allow traffic over HTTPS, port 443
(SSL) to and from the production server host
(prodsnibtp.fldoe.org)
• It is best practice to minimize network-intensive activities
taking place on other computers during test times (such as
streaming videos).
Preparing the Computer Lab for Online
Assessments using A/V
When taking world language tests, students may be
required to record their responses in the FL IBTP using a
microphone. Prior to test day, set the default microphone
on the test computers.
See the job aid “Tech Coordinators - Preparing the
Computer Lab for Online Assessments using A/V” for
instructions.
SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR ROLE
Ways to Aid the Process
• Confirm that at least one person at the school is assigned
the task of serving as the technical coordinator to make
sure all student computers are ready.
• Make sure all teachers have signed in prior to test day to
confirm that they see the assessment and have printed
out usernames and passwords.
• Communicate to teachers when each subject and grade
level will administer assessments and coordinate
computer lab schedules, as needed.
• Minimize network-intensive activities taking place on
other computers during test times (such as streaming
videos).
