Che cosa sono le marche archivio? Le marche archivio sono registratori elettronici di dati capaci di stimare la
posizione misurando l'intensità di luce per mezzo di un sensore. Essi inoltre forniscono dati sulla profondità a cui il
pesce nuota e sulla temperatura sia dell'acqua che del corpo del pesce. Queste informazioni sono collezionate
giornalmente ed immagazzinate nella marca per diversi anni.
Come si può capire se il tonno porta una marca archivio? Le marche archivio sonon impiantate all'interno della
cavità addominale del corpo del pesce e di esse resta fuori solo in sensore della luce. Comunque, solo questi tonni
marcati con marche archivio portano esternamente anche marche convenzionali di tipo "spaghetto", colorate con due
diversi colori, per aiutare il pescatore a riconoscerli ed a restituire la marca archivio. Le due marche esterne sono
posizionate sul dorso del pesce da una parte e dall'altra della linea mediana a circa 2 o 3 cm di distanza da questa.
Sulla porzione bianca della marca convenzionale è scritto "electronic tag inside cavity" (marca elettronica nella
cavità) mentre sulla porzione verde è scritto "Big $$$ reward" (grande premio in dollari).

date ulteriori informazioni circa dove e come spedire le marche.

2. NON RIMUOVERE LA MARCA ARCHIVIO TIRANDO IL SENSORE DI LUCE. Per rimuovere la marca archivio
praticare accuratamente una incisione di circa 12-13 cm nella cavità addominale davanti all'area dove il sensore
entra nel pesce. Rimuovere la marca argentata o gialla con le mani lasciando attaccato il sensore di luce. Lavare la
targa con acqua e conservarla a temperatura ambiente. Le marche tradizionali che si trovano sul dorso possono
essere tolte dal pesce e la porzione di esse recante la scritta va conservata. Oltre alla conservazione delle marche
archivio e delle marche tradizionali, sono importanti anche le informazioni circa il luogo e la data di ricattura,
l'attrezzo di pesca usato, la lunghezza ed il peso del pesce, il nome e l'indirizzo del pescatore.
