the journey starts
The journey really started at an Instant Atlas conference last year in
Nottingham. Tom Smith (Oxford Consultants Social Inclusion) gave a
presentation, and an idea was planted; in times of reduced resources,
purchase the data packs so ………..
reducing officer data manipulation time.
We were on the same page and the idea of an all encompassing national data
store on Harrow website arose…..

Lessons learnt:
●Do not try to implement a project just as your IT is
outsourced.
●Delve into all your ‘hidden’ corporate standards
●Have some ‘contingency’ budget in place & bid for
future growth
●Go outside your comfort zone & authority
●Use your suppliers and their knowledge
●You become a jack of all trades……..soothsayer,
facilitator, negotiator, IT troubleshooter,
