Welding conditions and application
sphere of the globular transfer
Globular transfer welding conditions:
1. Low and moderate welding current;
2. Moderate and high arc voltage;
3. Shielding: CO2 or argon based mixtures.
MIG/MAG globular transfer application is
restricted to welding in the flat position.
There might be heavy spatter when using
CO2 shielding.
All that, including an irregular geometry of
the resulting weld, limits use of the
globular transfer mode for production
applications.
