The 2013 Coordinated Plan
Achieves three primary goals -
• Updates the 2007 Coordinated Plan and adds new objectives
• Meets Federal requirements for a human service
transportation coordination plan
• Provides a framework for coordination of transportation
services in the North Front Range area

Federal Requirements for Human Service
Transportation Coordination
• 49 USC 5303(g)(3) - MPO responsible for development of Plan
• MAP-21 - Human service transportation coordination required for all
non-rail FTA programs and for statewide and metropolitan
transportation planning.
• MAP-21 - Eligible 5311, 5310 and 5307* projects must certify selection
in the context of a locally developed, coordinated public
transit/human-services transportation plan.

Framework for Coordination

NEW: Objectives – To keep the Plan current
14 types of local transportation strategies that further the goal
of transportation self-sufficiency.
Examples include:
Multi-Agency Coordinated Travel Training Program
Objective – To expand travel training from one or two
transit programs to multiple agency capacity….
