Community Planning Framework How partners agree to work together to agree SCS and make it happen • A Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is a non statutory, multi-agency body, which matches local authority boundaries .

What is a Local Area Agreement?

The LAA sets out the deal between central and local authorities and their partners.

In order to improve services and the quality of life in a place over a 3 year period. Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

What is a Local Area Agreement?

It is agreed at a county-wide level and some delivery plans are best managed at a county level But includes local priorities and some delivery plans are best managed locally Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

Reduce the amount of waste generated by Surrey householders, which is currently one of the highest per capita ratios. In 2004 the average Surrey household generated 565kg of waste, against a national average of 439kg. Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

Increase the supply of affordable housing. Average house prices in Surrey are 34% higher than the rest of the region and approximately 10 times annual average earnings. Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

Reduce obesity in children. In 2007 the percentage of obese children appears to be double that of reception children recorded in 2001 Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

Reduce high levels of drinking in Surrey to reduce alcohol related deaths and health problems. It is estimated more than 129,000 people in Surrey are currently harmful drinkers while over 27,000 are alcohol-dependent . Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008

Address the community-wide impacts of climate change and increasing fuel and energy costs. This impacts on a range of issues which are particularly significant in Surrey, e.g. congestion, landfill, air quality, water use Spelthorne Together 15 September 2008
