What is a Local Strategic Partnership?

The LSP brings together key organisations from the Public,
Private and Voluntary, Community and Faith (3rd) Sectors
It develops and agrees a Community Strategy or plan for
the Borough: Bolton: Our Vision 2007 – 2017
LSPs promote ‘strategic’, partnership working to improve
the local quality of life
In Bolton, the LSP is the Bolton Vision Partnership,
including:

Sustainable Development Forum
LAA Agencies Group
The new LSP arrangements:

• The vision, aims and priorities for Bolton are agreed by all
• Clear objectives set out in the Sustainable Community
Strategy: Bolton: Our vision 2007-2017
• Partners’ individual plans contribute to the agreed aims
and priorities
• Working in partnership is the best way to tackle the most
challenging issues; individual organisations cannot tackle
these alone
