mid-1900s – ‘Wyld Court Orchids’ established
1993 – ‘Wyld Court Rainforest’ visitor centre opened
2000 – Living Rainforest charity established
2003 – SEEDA provided funding to prepare EC funding bid
2004 – National Lottery funded Integrated Greenhouse Project,
Phase 1 (Human Impact Building)
2005 – EC funded Integrated Greenhouse Project, Phase 2
(Green Greenhouse)
2006 – Human Impact Building opened
2008 – Green Greenhouse scheduled to open

‘Closed’ greenhouse design – storing excess summer
heat for winter re-use across our site. This is of major
interest to commercial growers in Europe.
Final design options are currently being evaluated
