What is MobileIron?
We are launching a new cloud service within the mobile security portfolio.
MobileIron is a mobility management solution, built to manage mobile apps, content and devices.
It allows businesses to give teams access to content and work related apps on their devices, and
because it creates a secure environment it keeps the business information protected.

FAQ’s
1. What kind of devices can be managed with MobileIron (MobileIron Cloud platform)?
• With MobileIron customers can manage both smartphones and tablets running the most popular OSs – Apple iOS,
Google Android and Windows from Q2 14.
2. Will it be possible to also manage laptops or PCs?
• No, MobileIron is focused on enabling a truly mobile workforce by making available all content and apps that make it
simpler for anyone in the business to work on their mobile, and reassure that the content used is protected. So,
customers can manage both smartphones and tablets but not PCs & laptops or dongles & mobile WiFi devices.
3. Will it be possible only to manage devices associated with an EE account?
• No, when using the using the MobileIron platform, all users will be invited by email address (not by CTN), and with
this email address will be used to authenticate the user in the platform and becomes associated with the device
managed. So with the MobileIron Cloud platform, businesses can manage for instance WiFi only tablets or even
smartphones/tablets with other networks SIM Cards. Customers will be charged by the number of licenses they
purchase, and this charge is applied at account level (not CTN level).
4. If a customer wants to deactivate MobileIron before the initial 12 months license contract has passed are there
early termination charges?
• Yes, if during the 1st 12 months of purchase of any batch (or individual licenses), customers who wish to terminate
the service or deactivate their account with EE, they will be charged for the remainder nr of months until the 12
months are up.
5. Is this service available to Orange or T-Mobile plans?
• No, the MobileIron Cloud service is only available to customers subscribing or with an existing EE plan.

6. What web browsers is the MobileIron Cloud platform compatible with?
• The MobileIron Cloud platform will work with Chrome, IE10 (no earlier versions for launch), Firefox and Safari
7. Is it possible to manage several devices for the same user with MobileIron Cloud?
•
Yes, if a person in the business is for instance using both smartphone and tablet, it is possible to add both devices
to the same user. Each device added to the platform counts as 1 license even if it is associated to the same user (2
devices =s 2 licenses)

1. When activating MobileIron (a new customer account is being requested)
Fill out the attached excel form for MobileIron + attach it to the New Connection Template before submitting it
to the Connection Inbox
2. When activating, adding + deactivating MobileIron licences to an existing customer (In-life)
Fill out the attached excel form for MobileIron, and submit it to the CS Service Inbox for processing
3. The SLA for activation of licences can take up to 48 hours from BPS submitting the request to MobileIron

Rules
Eligibility
•
All EE SB and Consumer PAYM(with a business type account) voice + MBB tariff plans with
a 12, 18 or 24 month commitment
•
Orange and T-Mobile plans are excluded
•
Accounts that only have SIM-only tariff plans are not eligible
SOC applicability rules
•
MobileIron SOCs are applied at BAN level (not CTN level)
•
The same SOC can be provisioned multiple times on the same account (customers can buy 5 or 1
MobileIron licenses multiple times)
•
MobileIron charged SOCs have a minimum commitment term of 12 months. Customers cancelling
the service during this period will be charged with early termination fee
•
After the minimum commitment term of 12 months, the MobileIron SOCs will remain in the
customer account until the customer requests the deactivation of the service
•
Customers changing or upgrading tariff plans will keep the MobileIron SOCs in their account
