John 3:7
“Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born
again.’”

gave the right to become children of God, to those who
believe in His name: (13) who were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of God.

 1Pe 1:23 “having been born again, not of corruptible
seed but incorruptible, through the word of God
which lives and abides forever”

 Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the
word of God.”

word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of
His creatures.

What does the Lord mean by “born again?”
Not an option; something we must do
It means being born of water
It means being born of spirit
It means entering the kingdom of God
Born Again
Born of water…
Not physical birth, makes no sense
Not speaking of the Holy Spirit
Context indicates this is actual “water”
John the baptizer understood, used water
Jesus had been baptized, and His disciples
They were baptizing, all in physical water
Would have been understood by all as “water”
