You may check your grades
online using the access ID from
the district. These grades are
updated weekly.
Homework Procedures
 Homework assignments are to be
turned in as specified by each
classroom teacher.
 Please see the Crete-Monee
Middle School Handbook for
additional information regarding
the building homework policy.
Absent Work
 If you are absent, leave early, or arrive late, it
is your responsibility to obtain the work you
missed.
 Missed work is in a designated area in each
classroom
 According to the Student Handbook,
students will be given a minimum of one
school day for each excused absence to
make up assignments and/or tests.
 Turn in work that was due the day of your
absence when you return from your absence.
Out-of-Class Procedures

Passing Time
 You have 3 minutes (2 minutes
between Advisory and 2nd hour) to
pass between class periods. Use
your time wisely!!!
 Use this time to visit the restroom.
 Only stop at your locker if
absolutely necessary.
 Do not stop at others’ lockers.
Do NOT
share lockers
or
locker combinations

 Team 8A uses a citation system for behavior management.









Students will receive citations for violating classroom behavioral
expectations.
Citation protocol: Students will be given two warnings prior to
receiving a citation. The consequences are as follows:
1st citation: Student – teacher conference
2nd citation: Phone call home
3rd citation: Team consequence and phone call home
4th citation: Team consequence and phone call home
5th citation: Parent conference
6th + citation: Referral to Assistant Principal
*Severe infractions may result in immediate disciplinary action.
** Citations are cumulative across team, not on a per teacher basis.

attendance expectations in order to

Large Group Discussion
 Give your full attention to the speaker.
 Remain quiet, eyes on speaker, sit up in your chair.
 Raise your hand to participate and
wait for your turn to speak.
 Ask questions that are relevant to the discussion.
 Respond positively and
constructively. It is okay to disagree
with someone, but it must be done in a
respectful manner.

Small Group Work
 Form group quickly and quietly.
 Each group member must contribute equally
and as directed by teacher.
 Keep conversation related to the
assignment.
 Use appropriate voice level.
 Stay seated in your assigned group and raise
your hand for help.
 Respond positively and constructively to
others’ ideas.

Individual Seat Work
 Read and follow directions on your own
before asking for help.
 Stay quiet and focused on work.
 Raise your hand quietly if help is needed.
 Double check your work before turning it
in.
 If you finish early you may read or work
on other assignments.

team teachers that students follow

turned in.
