The sand cat is the only wild cat who's habitat is not threatened. They are threatened by hunters and collection for the pet trade. The sand cats are disappearing at an alarming rate, and since most people don’t know what sand cats are, they don’t know how to help them. You can help protect the Sand Cat by doing something as simple as signing up to the Big cat Rescue organization and spreading the word about this endangered species.
