What Exactly Is Baptism?

Baptizo – “to immerse, submerge; to make whelmed (i.e. fully wet).” Bapto – “to whelm, i.e. cover wholly with a fluid”

“Why would it matter to God if a person is Immersed or Sprinkled?” Nadab & Abihu Departed From God’s Pattern & Lost their Lives- Leviticus 10:1-3 Naaman had to comply with God’s Command- 2Kings 5:10

“What makes Immersion better than Sprinkling or Pouring?” God said “IMMERSE” Not “Sprinkle or Pour”

Immersion is an Ordinance Received From God Sprinkling or Pouring is NOT!

& Severity of God

immersed “in the name of Jesus?” Not only do I have to be IMMERSED, I have to be IMMERSED for the RIGHT REASON!

Baptism {i.e. Immersion} is Only Effective Because God Authorized it.

“You mean that an Adult who is Baptized only because it is a “Custom” of his congregation is NOT `Scripturally’ Baptized?” That Is Correct

“But Apollos was NOT Baptized!” Acts 10:24-28 The Scriptures don’t say one way or the other!

“Do you mean that someone has to know EVERYTHING about God’s Word in order to be Scripturally Baptized?

God has authorized & commanded “in the name of Jesus” All Other Immersions in Water are NOT ACCEPTABLE

Consider The Goodness & Severity of God

Ephesians 4:3-6 “ONE BAPTISM” Only ONE BAPTISM is acceptable to God
