2011 School District of
Onalaska Referendum
The district is seeking permission to increase the
local property tax levy for 3 years in order to
maintain school programs and services
Depending on the Referendum, cuts may include
decreasing the high school schedule to 7 periods
The
school day would not be shortened
Counselors would remove the selection
on line 8 from student schedules
Please vote February 15!
…Registering for Classes
Remember semester vs. year long classes
Freshmen must sign up for at least 7 classes
each semester
Rank elective course choices (line 8)
Consider Honors Diploma options (Pg. 4)
Check course prerequisites
Check math placement (Pg. 34)
Study halls are encouraged
Points to Remember
Students who do not return their course
selection sheets will have a schedule built for
them.
The master schedule is student driven. It will be
built after registration forms have been entered
in the computer. This will determine what
classes will be offered for the 2011-12 school
year. Therefore, a class you register for may not
be offered based on low numbers.
Schedule Changes
Schedule corrections will only be allowed
for:
students
who do not have enough credits
students who do not have the necessary
pre-requisite
students who have schedule conflicts with
requested courses
