• She was born on July 10,1875 in
Maysville, South Carolina.

• Mary McLeod Bethune studied at religious
schools and became a teacher.

In 1898 she married Albert Bethune who
was a teacher.

• Mary McLeod Bethune attended a mission
school which was called The Moody Bible
Institute

• She had a school with 100 students

• Now Mary McLeod Bethune’s school is a
collage that all of us can go to.

Mary also made a hospital for her school.

being an outstanding African American.
