correctly aligned
– taking the 2D projections at the vertices of a dodecahedron
– using 10 dodecahedrons for each 3D object
• Robust with respect to Translation, Rotation, Scaling, Simplification,
Subdivision, Noise, Deformation

Communications Society(IEEE所屬第二大Society)的兩個涵蓋所有電信領域的
年度Flagship Conferences
– 亞洲到目前為止主辦過的城市只有東京及新加坡

昭,Publications Vice-chair:李宇旼
• IEEE Communications Society所有行政性會議同時在ICC/Globecom召開,故
所有現任主管及核心人物均與會:
– President主持的Board of Governors Meeting
– Vice President-Technical Affairs主持的Technical Affairs Council Meeting
– Director of Journals主持的Journal Publications Board Meeting
– Editors-in-Chief及Technical Committee Chairs主持的相關會議

• 12個大型研討會(Symposium)
– 對全球公開徵搞
– 共收到全球55個國家投稿1980篇,創下ICC/Globecom有史以來最高紀錄;最後決定
接受593篇,接受率29.9%
– 這部分我國投稿共201篇(80餘位教授投稿)是第二大國,僅次於美國561篇,最後的
593篇來自37國,我國有44篇,仍是第二大國,佔7.4%
• 大會總預算約新台幣4,300萬元(含IEEE Communications Society的50週年慶
補助款300萬元)
• 與會總人數1276人,其中國際人士(台灣以外)718人
• Local Arrangements中與電信科技相關的特別安排
– 中華電信提供整個國際會議中心大樓會場無線網路全時全場完全暢通,任何與會者
凡帶筆記型電腦者均可免費借用無線網卡即可隨時隨地上網
– 為減輕太多平行Sessions不能同時參加的難題,部份重要Sessions均全程錄影並剪輯
投影片上網,三個月內註冊與會者均可憑password上網重聽,之後再對全球open三
個月
– 中華電信另於會場提供“Wireless Projector”最新服務,主講人可以將投影片直接無
線傳送至投影機,不必接插座換電腦
– 開幕典禮由陳水扁總統透過電傳視訊與會場互動並致開幕詞
– 以故宮古畫的3D動畫呈現資訊科技與古典文化的融合
