Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the
Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you
shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the
end of the earth."
John 7:38-39
He who believes in Me, as the
Scripture has said, out of his heart will
flow rivers of living water."
But this He spoke concerning the
Spirit, whom those believing in Him
would receive; for the Holy Spirit was
not yet given, because Jesus was not
yet glorified.
John 14:16-18
And I will pray the Father, and He will
give you another Helper, that He may
abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees Him nor knows
Him; but you know Him, for He dwells
with you and will be in you. I will not
leave you orphans; I will come to you.

A HUNGER FOR GOD
“The great sin of church not that we’ve lost
power of God, but that we’ve become
content to live without it.” - Charles Finney
A HUNGER FOR GOD
“My fear is not that our great movement,
known as the Methodists, will eventually
cease to exist or one day die from the earth.
My fear is that our people will become
content to live without the fire, the power, the
excitement, the supernatural element that
makes us great.” – John Wesley
A HUNGER FOR GOD
“… if the Holy Spirit were completely
removed from the world today, 90% of the
work of the church would go on as if nothing
at all had happened.” - R.T. Kendell

HE IS A GOD OF “RESPONSE”
A PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER
Acts 2:2; And suddenly there came a sound
from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were
sitting.
“SUDDENLY” DOES NOT ALWAYS
MEAN “IMMEDIATELY”
A PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER
“The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is more often
a “PROCESS” rather than an event
A PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER
Your “suddenly” may not be “immediately,”
but it will come “eventually!”
LUKE 11:9-13
If you then, being evil, know how to give
good gifts to your children, how much more
will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask Him!"
AN EXPECTATION OF FAITH
Act 2:3; Then there appeared to them
divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon
each of them.
God has a “tongue of fire” for you!

Spirit and began to speak with other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them utterance.

those who COOPERATE with the Holy Spirit
and make themselves available!
