Mixed metal oxides are formed on the titanium substrate through a process of thermal decomposition creating an oxide coating of the platinum group of metals. These oxide coatings have many superior electrochemical properties such as near metal conductivity and extremely low consumption rates.

Suitable for use in soil, backfill, fresh water and sea water where O 2 , Cl 2 or a combination of both are discharged at the anode.

Quality Assurance

      Lightweight MMO coatings demonstrate very high chemical stability even in environments with very low pH values. The coating is not affected by the generation of chlorine. Wear rate of the anode is extremely low and uniform and between 1 and 6 milligrams/ampere-year.

Anode dimensions remain nearly constant during the design life of the anode.

Operated at high current density e.g. 2000A/m2.

A superior electrically-conductive performance: 10 -7 Ω · m

 The coating used on wire is suitable for most cathodic protection applications, but output varies with application.

Tubular Anode Parameters

 Tubular anodes can be supplied as singles or in strings.

 Suitable for all natural environments e.g. soil, fresh water, sea water, mud.

 The current output depends on the anode dimensions, substrate, applications and design lifetime.

Tubular Anode Applications

 High current output and low anode/earth electrical resistance.  Tubular anodes offer savings of 15 35% over competitive anodes on an installed cost basis.

 Anode-cable assemblies are easy to handle, transport and install because of their unique flexibility.

Canistered anodes made in wire, tube or mesh are the perfect impressed current anode for shallow vertical and horizontal surface ground beds as well as wet , marshy soil conditions where caving is likely to occur. Ideal for protecting structures such as underground storage tanks, above ground storage tanks, pipelines.
