Challenge: Conflict Between the Unified
Access and Server Performance
1.
A cluster does not provide a unified
interface. Users can access
services only of a single server
separately.
2.
The system does not support any
redundancy.
Server cluster
If faults occur on a server, users that have
accessed to the server are affected.
3.
Services of a server cluster are not
scheduled and managed in a
unified manner.
Service access requests are excessively
frequent on some servers. These servers
cannot respond to the requests in time.
However, some servers receive a small
volume of service requests. Resources of
these servers are wasted.
3
LB Benefits
Load balancing and unified access:
Unified scheduling improves resource
utilization efficiency.
Server cluster
The cluster provides a unified access
point for users. Failures of a server
do not affect user experience.

Global Load Balancing
In compliance with DNS, the intelligent
reverse link detection and cache technologies
are used to return the optimal route,
implementing service distribution to the
nearest region for cross-region services.
One domain name is shared

Cloud Platform
A software company has the following requirements on the cloud platform:
•
Distributes requests to corresponding applications based on the uniform resource
locators (URLs).
•
Provides the real-time WebService management user interface (UI).
•
Sets the server status to reject new requests and supports branch node upgrades
without interrupting services.
•
Supports static flow control to limit the maximum access CAPSs on a server and
maximum concurrent connections to protect the backend servers.
•
Supports application quota control (for example, the quota for an application per
month: 100 Gbit/s uplink, 200 Gbit/s downlink, and 3000 HTTP requests)
