The Little Red Hen
One day as the Little
Red Hen was
scratching in a field,
she found a grain of
wheat.
“This wheat should
be planted” she said.

the mouse.
“I wont.”
“I wont,”
baaed the
sheep.
“I wont.”
“Then I will,”
clucked the
Little
Red Hen. And
she did.
“Then I
will.”
Soon the
wheat grew to
be tall and
yellow.

and it had to be
ground into

How do you think the Little Red Hen felt
doing all the work by herself?
How do you think she felt when the other
animals wanted to eat the bread?
How do you think the other animals felt
when the Little Red Hen told them that
they could not eat the bread?
What lesson did the other animals learn?
