It is designed for the generation and conversion of SD- und HD-Videosignals and generates and/or complements an existing Multiplex. The assembly guaranties first-class Outputsignals with excellent technical values. The EMA 408 allows the Encoding of four A/V-, SDI- or HD-SDI-Signals and/or the Transcoding of up to four MPEG-2 Signals into H.264 in an ASI-Transportstream. H.264 AVC-Encoder/Multiplexer EMA 408 4 x FBAS, SD/HD-SDI, ASI MPEG-2 TS ASI(TS) & IP • • • • • • Four A/V-Signals (analog, ASI, SDI or HD-SDI) into an ASI–Transportstream and IP-StreamOutput (SPTS, MPTS) Transcoding of 4 x MPEG-2-Signals into H.264 AVC Individual adjustment of Audio- und Videosources Possible feed-in of an external ASI-Transportstream Cascading of up to 8 devices Access on device or via Webserver(TCP/IP) or SNMP-Agent EMA 408 Encoding SAT-IF Router SMA 001 SAT-IF SAT-IF The SAT-IF Router SMA 001 is a controllable Signalswitch for the SAT-IF-Band. The assemly is a self-sufficiently working unit in a 19“-Housing. The SMA 001 disposes of 16 Signalinputs and 16 Signaloutputs. Via WEB-Interface each Inputsignal can be routed to any Output. By that this device can be optimally used as a remoted SAT-IF-Switch for the individual Signalfeed of End-Devices, such as Redundancy-Assemblies . Here up to 8 QAM-Channels can be generated out of the SAT-ZFSignals which are fed-in via two inputs. The module allows decryption and optional following encryption of DVB-Transportstreams. Therefor 4-CI-Slots are integrated which can be freely cascaded for each application. The feed-in of the keys for encryption goes via an own Ethernet-Interface. 8fach SAT-TV Transmodulator A-QAMOS 4CI DVB-S/-S2(8x QPSK/8PSK) • 4x CI DVB-C • • • • • • • • • • DCS (digital calculated signal) – fully digital system from Signal-Generation up to HF 2 Inputs or looped Input-Signal LNB-Control 22 kHz, 14/18 V or DiSEqC 1.2 Logical Channel Number(LCN) – automatical Program-Presortation Transportstream-Editing for all channels Descrambling-Function CI-Slots cascadable Scrambling-Function (Multiplexing of EMM & ECM inside the TS; encryption of up to 4 TS) Loopable Output-Signal Control via HTML and SNMP I-Edge I-Edge 8fach SAT-TV Transmodulator A-QAMOS 4CI DVB-S/-S2(8x QPSK/8PSK) • 4x CI DVB-C Port for CAS-System CI-Slot 1 & 2 Frontview CI-Slot 3 & 4 Status-Display Ventilation Ventilation 8fach SAT-TV Transmodulator A-QAMOS 4CI DVB-S/-S2(8x QPSK/8PSK) • 4x CI DVB-C Fan Grounding Powersupply (redundant) Rearview Control-Port SAT-ZF IN SAT-ZF IN/OUT + Status-Display + Status-Display HF-IN HF-OUT Reset 8fach IP-QAM Modulator A-QAMOS IP IP/SFP/ASI DVB-C (8x QAM) The A-QAMOS-IP modulates IP- and/or ASI-TS into QAM-Signals for the broadcasting in Cable-networks. Therefore 8 QAM-Channels can be generated out of the sidefedTransportstreams . Even large Transportstreams can be split to different QAM-Channels by the integrated ProgramFilter. This professional device is characterized by a simple and innovative concept of handling. 8fach IP-QAM Modulator A-QAMOS IP IP/SFP/ASI DVB-C (8x QAM) • • • • • • • • DCS (digital calculated signal) – flly digital System from Signal-Generation up to HF IP-Input (RJ45), redundant IP-Input(SFP) ASI-Port as Input for local feed-in Generation of 8 QAM-Channels out of the side-fed IP-Transportstreams Logical Channel Number(LCN) – automatical Program-Presorting Transportstream-Editing for all channels Loopable Output-Signal Control via HTML and SNMP 8fach IP-QAM Modulator A-QAMOS IP IP/SFP/ASI DVB-C (8x QAM) Status-Display Ventilation Frontview Ventilation 8fach IP-QAM Modulator A-QAMOS IP IP/SFP/ASI DVB-C (8x QAM) Fan Grounding Powersupply (redundant) Rearview Stream-Port(RJ45) LOOP-Display ASI-IN Control-Port Stream-Port(SFP) Redundant Status ASI-IN Status SFP HF-IN HF-OUT Reset 8fach IP-QAM Modulator A-QAMOS IP IP/SFP/ASI DVB-C (8x QAM) 8fach IP-PAL Modulator A-PALIOS IPM4 IP/SFP/ASI (MPEG4) ATV (8x PAL) The module A-PALIOS-IPM4 modulates programs out of the side-fed IP- and/or ASI-TS into analog signals for the broadcast in cable-networks. Therefor 8 PAL-Channels can be generated out of the side-fed Transportstreams. The A-PALIOS-IPM4 supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4-Datastreams. Low latency is important – Error correction with low latency is needed • Standardized algorithm – No proprietary system, full downward compatible Type of packet lost • Single packet lost – Every now and than – Multiple causes e.g. bit error – Simple to recover • Multiple packet lost „bursts loses“ – Caused by buffer errors or re-route issues e.g. IP transport through non privat network – Difficult to recover 2D FEC Summary Latency L*D Overhead 30 Mbps 100 Mbps Recovery (5,10) 10% 17.5 ms 5.3 ms 5 IP pkt (10,10) 10% 35.1 ms 10.5 ms 10 IP pkt (20,5) 20% 35.1 ms 10.5 ms 20 IP pkt (8,8) 12.5% 22.5 ms 6.7 ms 8 IP pkt (10,5) 20% 17.5 ms 5.3 ms 10 IP pkt (8,5) (5,5) (4,6) (6,4) 20% 20% 16.7% 25% 14.0 ms 8.8 ms 8.4 ms 8.4 ms 4.2 ms 2.7 ms 2.5 ms 2.5 ms 8 IP pkt 5 IP pkt 4 IP pkt 6 IP pkt 2D FEC Summary • Pro-MPEG FEC causes more IP traffic – FEC is transmitted two UDP port higher – FEC‘ is transmitted four UDP port higher • Pro-MPEG FEC causes latency – Latency >2,5ms • Pro-MPEG FEC protects effective MPEG over IP transmission • Pro MPEG FEC is fully downward compatible – IP receiver w/o FEC can still be used Coming soon • Qamos Media (Oct. 2013) • Internal Mediaplayer • Qamos Mux Option (Nov. 2013) • 8x Sat => Multiplexer => 8 x Qam • Qamos IPM (Nov. 2013) • 64 x IP/ASI/Player => 16 x Qam • Infoss (Nov. 2013) • 4 x Mediaplayer => Qam • Scrambling Option for SBL (Q1 2014) Many thanks for your attention EEBC B143 Christian Schmidt Technical Project Manager IPTV Solutions BLANKOM Antennentechnik GmbH Hermann - Petersilge - Str. 1 07422 Bad Blankenburg/Germany Tel.: +49(0) 3 67 41/60 0 Fax: +49(0) 3 67 41/60 100
