How we made our trailer.

Session 2 By Abbie, Lottie and Sakinah

   This session was all about creating a trailer for a chosen story book. In our group of three we had previously decided to create a book trailer about the Gruffalo. At the start of the session we jotted down ideas of what we were going to cover throughout the session. We decided we would use images and some video recording to create our trailer but not using any animation as we felt it wouldn’t give us our desired quality. By Abbie, Lottie and Sakinah

 We began by searching for background music for our trailer. We used Youtube to help us and then recorded sound clips on our phone.

     The way we created our book trailer was by using a Microsoft Windows Movie Maker which was already6 installed on all the computers at university, but it is free to download. We did have a talk about how to use the software. The software is really simple and basic for anyone to use, even for people who are not confident with using different software. You can use all different types of files to upload onto Movie Maker. You do have to create a separate folder before you can use the files and upload them onto Movie Maker, but it doesn’t take long to do. Once you have created a folder and all the files you want to use are in there it is really straightforward to import onto Movie Maker. You do however need to allow the software time upload your files onto but it doesn’t take long.
