Seasons
In spring, girls wear capris
and boys wear shorts. In
summer, you go to the
pool and wear swimsuits.
In fall, you wear sweaters
and hats. In winter, you
wear a hat, gloves, coat
and boots.
-Earnest
Spring
My favorite time of the year is spring. Spring is
not hot or cold. Spring is a lovely season. You can
play outside. It is usually sunny and the leaves
grow on the trees.
-Josh
Summer
Green leaves are on the trees in the summer. Baby birds
learn to eat worms. In summer, many fruits are ripe.
-DaQuan
Summer
My favorite time of the year is summer. I like summer
because I like going to the pool. It is warm. The sun
shines and the grass is green.
-Carter
Fall
My favorite time of the year is fall. The air is fresh.
School is here and you meet your teacher. The
sky is clear and blue in fall. The air is cool.
-Miah
Winter
My favorite time of the year is winter because you
get to go ice skating. The bad things are the snow
storms. The trees have ice on them.
-Sadarrion
Winter
Snow is on the ground during the winter. White
bunnies are hard to see in the snow. In winter,
there no leaves on the trees.

The weather can be sunny, cloudy, snowy, or rainy.

Rainbow
At the end of a rain storm a rainbow comes. When
the sunlight hits the rain drops it makes a
rainbow.

A satellite is way
above earth and it
takes pictures to
see if storms are
coming.

Blizzards
When a blizzard hits, kids can not go to school. A
blizzard is a very bad storm. School will be shut down.
Parents can’t go to work. People can’t go where they
need to. Some people get stuck in a blizzard.
-Caine
Lightning
Lightning can strike trees and they can catch on fire.
Lightning can shock you if you are in the water. Ben
Franklin discovered lightning was electricity.
-Elijah
Tornado
If a tornado is coming,
you should go to
somewhere without
windows or go to the
basement. Scientists see
if a tornado is coming so
they can tell everyone to
get ready.
-Kes
Floods
Floods can cause trouble for people. Rain can
overflow the Mississippi River. Sometimes they
rescue people and pets with boats.
-Damon
Hail and Ice
Hail can be large like a baseball. Rain mixes with
snow and can form hail. Ice is made by rain that
freezes. It can be hard to drive or walk.
-Daron
Hurricane
A hurricane can flood a
town in an instant. It
starts over the ocean and
travels to the shore line,
knocking down trees,
homes, and bridges,
flooding everything in
sight. The hurricane
hunters fly into the storms
and warn everyone to
evacuate.
