Transcript Spring Picnic In Arabia

Camping Arab Style
When the rains come to northwest Arabia,
the area of the Jaredite trail, for a short
time small spots of land turn green, water
runs through the desert from the west, and
Arabs take their families, jump in their
trucks and go camping in the desert. I
accompanied my friends on several
excursion to the desert this winter. I
thought you might enjoy seeing these
pictures of camping Arabian style.
The famous Bedouin law of the desert
requires that if a traveler passes your tent
you need to invite him in, share news, and
be his host for three days. As Lehi crossed
through Arabia he would have stayed in
the tents of dozens of host. As Tim Sedor
and I have traveled in Arabia, we have
often been invited to share the hospitality
of complete strangers.
