PMP Application Process
• The following slides show outline most of the steps you have
to go through in order to become eligible to sit in the exam
• As you pay your exam fees you may be notified that you have
been randomly selected for audit.
• Please remember to provide information on application which
you can backup by third party. Its better to check with them
first before providing their name to PMI.
• At least 5 weeks before the exam date, you must complete
the following two items:


Confirm your eligibility
Scheduled your Exam
Step 1 – Go to www.PMI.org
Step 2 – Create Account
Step 3 – Personal Details
Step 4 – Your Username
Step 5 – Choose a Credential
Step 6 – Add your PM Experience

• Continue to add Experience until you have all the Project
management hours & deliverables recorded in application.
• Submit application
• It will take about 2-3 days to get the email confirmation of eligibility
from PMI.
• PMI will send email to ask you to deposit the credential fees
• After the fees is received, PMI will inform you if your application has
been selected for Audit
•
OR
PMI will send Exam Scheduling instructions.
• If you are selected for Audit. You will have to provide necessary documentary
prove of your certificate/Degree, PM experience verification from your
supervisor as mentioned in your application etc.
• Once Audit process completes successfully (usually) in 5 business days, you
are permitted to take the exam
