Strategic Imperative
• NACCRRA Board of Directors:
– We expect and support child care providers to
move towards quality through Quality Rating
and Improvement Systems.
– Shouldn’t we expect the same for CCR&R?
• The future of our field requires high
functioning CCR&Rs that will be sustained
over time

Task Force Work Plan
•
•
•
•
Review standards that are in place
Develop a base line for CCR&R
Add building blocks toward quality assurance
Create tiers for quality improvement so
agencies can strive for and be recognized for
making improvements on the way to highest

Progress To Date
• Recruited task force members in late fall

• Convened in January 2012 and met twice
• Focus on creating a manageable process
where the hard work by CCR&Rs is
recognized at a number of levels
• Currently creating baseline

What Do YOU Think??
1. What should be the baseline for CCR&R in a
continuous quality improvement system?
2. How should we measure progress by an
agency?
3. What kind of acknowledgement would be
meaningful to an agency that progresses
from baseline through two or more tiers to
NACCRRA Quality Assurance?
