Chemistry 1/Physics 1 Challenge Test
Must have content knowledge and skills (e.g.,
summer lab work) to move directly to Biology in

This test provides placement into Biology, not
credit for chemistry 1 and physics 1.
All 8th grade students will be sent a letter on
February 4th.
Register by March 1st on MISD website.

Study history from early civilization through middle
ages in Europe.
Early Civilization (2 semesters)
Continued study of Islam, Japan, Medieval Europe,
Africa and Pre-Columbia America. There is also an
emphasis on developing research skills.
(NOTE: Either class is highly recommended for 10th
grade Honors Social Studies course)
