NOTE: Two SAT Subject Tests will no longer be required for admission. However, students can still choose to submit their scores for consideration as part of their application, just as they do now with AP and IB scores. The Subject Tests may also be recommended for certain majors. Who receives guaranteed admission to the UC’s? Within this pool of applicants, two categories of students will be guaranteed admission somewhere in the UC system: 1. those who fall in the top 9 percent of all high school graduates statewide 2. those who rank in the top 9 percent of their own high school graduating class Because selectivity varies by campus due to the size and academic quality of applicant pools, a student's chance for admission will also vary by campus. For this reason, it is important for students to review all of their options and choose both carefully and broadly. Students will be notified, directly on the online application, once they enter their academic profile, if they qualify in the top 9% www.universityofcalifornia.edu UC application Fee Waivers: UC will waive application fees for up to four campuses for qualified students who would otherwise be unable to apply for admission. The fee waiver program is for United States citizens and permanent residents only. Students who qualify for fee waivers and who select more than four campuses must pay $70 for each additional choice. Apply for a fee waiver You can apply for a fee waiver within the online application and be notified immediately whether you have qualified. You will need to provide your family's income and the number of people supported by that income.
