Channel Program Overview: Diamond Products

Focus on Products

Diamond, Pre-Diamond and Featured Products The product focus strategy for the channel allows us to classify our products into categories that allow our channel partners to focus on four categories of products: Diamond, Pre-Diamond, Featured and Portfolio.

Diamond Products:

The Diamond product campaign highlights those products in our portfolio that have the strongest enablement story and are positioned for the market place, helping our channel partners to focus their efforts. Diamond products from Freescale will become synonymous with the “best of the best” and are ready for design activity with our customers NOW. The list is reviewed annually and products are designated as active with the current year Diamond ’08, Diamond ’09, etc.

Pre-Diamond Products:

Pre-Diamond products are new NPIs that are destined to be Diamond, but have not yet met the criteria for Diamond. Our Channel partners should begin to learn about these products for future designs.

Featured Products:

Featured products represent products that are complementary to our diamond portfolio or those products that have historically been strong players in the channel.

Portfolio Products:

•

Portfolio Products do not fall into either of the other three categories, but are still available for sale to the channel.
