Forum Priorities
• ASB Recreation Area off Speedwell Lane Baddesley (25 targeted patrols) • ASB Abbey Green Car Park and Tithe Barn (25 targeted patrols) • ASB Recreation Area off Derek Avenue, Dordon (25 targeted patrols)
Community Priorities
• Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm in line with the ‘Police Priorities’. • This may mean that in exceptional circumstances SNT officers may be required to work on other policing priorities. • If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities. This will be done in liaison with the Chair and the panel.
ASB Speedwell Lane Baddesley
• 39 targeted patrols completed (25 agreed) • Patrols directed mainly during evenings but also during the day particularly at weekends. • Patrol within recreation area having now secured access • Targeted engagement with all youth found at location.
• Ensured closer links with Top Score • Worked with Baddesley Youth Council • Work with partner agencies in Baddesley area
ASB Abbey Green Car Park and Tithe Barn
• 50 targeted patrols completed (25 agreed) • Patrols directed mainly during evenings but also during the day particularly at weekends • Cannabis seized off youths at various times in vicinity but not at tasking location • Worked alongside local shops on Bridge Street to identify alcohol suppliers • Liaised with neighbourhood wardens to identify specific locations • Work with NWBC to promote youth engagement opportunities at location • Engaged with residents of Abbey Green flats reference ongoing patrols • Public Order Incident – 14/11/2014
ASB Play Area Derek Avenue Dordon
• 56 targeted patrols conducted (25 agreed) • Patrols directed mainly during evenings but also during the day particularly at weekends • Liaison with local residents in vicinity of park • Uniformed officers on foot in the area during the evenings • Plain clothed officers on foot during the evenings
Other Work
• Operation ‘Bittern’ specific to Polesworth, Dordon and Baddesley.
• Alvecote Travellers site • Promotion of ‘Warwickshire Rural Watch’ Initiative • Support of NHW groups and community engagement days • Off road police scrambler teams active in Baddesley/Baxterley • Strengthening links with Polesworth school and involvement of Youth Engagement Officer • Operation ‘Stevenage’ targeting scrap metal dealers • Strengthening of links with villages and rural locations

• • • • • Dordon Play Area – proposed lamp column and cctv camera A new electrical supply needed to meet Western Power Network requirements Planning application for the above underway Abbey Green Park – help with addressing anti social behaviour via Youth Worker on wildlife project and theatre based substance misuse workshop with local schools Alvecote anti social behaviour – liaising with County Council to address concerns and improve community tensions • Deployment of cctv camera pending supply of an extension pole
