AAPS focuses on documenting & disseminating evidence of foreign contact with ancient America’s native people from 11,000 to 600 BP
AAPS’ goal is to change the Clovis- & Columbus-only paradigm to recognize that many people from many places influenced North American people by ancient trade, culture, and settlement throughout this period.
AAPS believes expanded school curricula will be the most effective change agent.

On July 28, 1996 two young men found a human skull in the Columbia River at Kennewick, WA.
James Chatters, a forensic anthropologist, was invited to conduct skeletal forensics.
He recovered scattered bones and began to make observations
Possible European traits: how the nose projected how the face projected, narrow face, delicate lower jaw, long, narrow cranium, absence of flaring cheekbones.
