MCD – New fund for Medicaid eligible consumers

The MCD fund will be updated on the Collaborative system
from the daily HFS eligibility file

This represents no change in procedure or submission or
processing of claims. This is an enhancement to the
system to permit easier tracking of dollars used to pay for
services for Medicaid eligible individuals and non-Medicaid
eligible individuals.
MCD and ABC Funds

Registration is required for a provider to be eligible
for reimbursement under the MCD and ABC funds (this
does not represent a change in policy)

If a consumer’s current registration is valid after
7/1/09 and the consumer has the new MCD fund as of
7/1/09 the consumer does not need to be reregistered in order to have benefits under the MCD
fund.

Current consumer registration is effective 4/1/09 and ends
10/1/09 then as of 7/1/09 the MCD fund will be allowed for the
consumer. The consumer does not need to be re-registered
