Methods for allocating Funding

Open Calls for projects based upon call criteria agreed by the Lancashire ESIF
Partnership and Government Departments. This will involve project promoters
providing their own match funding. Calls will be agreed by the Lancashire ESIF
Partnership as part of the ESIF Strategy Implementation Plan.
The Opt In process will involve organisations such as the Skills Funding Agency
pre- matching parts of Lancashire's ESIF allocation and using their own
procurement mechanisms for selecting delivery activity. The Lancashire ESIF
Partnership will agree Delivery Plans, including outputs, with Opt In promoters.
The Opt In process will be the main way of allocating ESF Funding

been appointed by BIG to develop the funding mechanism for Lancashire

• UK Partnership Agreement agreed October 2014
• First ‘Shadow’ Lancashire ESIF Partnership meeting in
November 2014
• ERDF/ESF/EAFRD Operational Programmes likely to be agreed
from December 2014 onwards
• Operational Programmes will set out the financial allocations
between different types of activity and Unit Costs for outputs.
• Revise ESIFs Strategy based upon agreed Operational
programmes
