Danari White was selected for the
prestigious 2013 U.S. Senate

the USSYP conference in
Washington DC, Danari met with
national political figures and
senior military leaders. She was
also selected to lay a wreath
during a special ceremony at the
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
located in Arlington National
Cemetery.

MEASURING
EXCELLENCE
STANDARDIZED TESTING
• Every year, DoDEA Pacific students comfortably outscore their
norm-group peers in every grade level and subject area tested on
the TerraNova.
• DoDEA students consistently score above the national average on
the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP, also
known as “The Nation’s Report Card”):
• For example: In 2013, 89% of DoDEA 4th graders performed
“At or Above Basic proficiency on the NAEP Science
Assessment versus 64% for the nation.
• DoDEA’s minority students consistently perform at or near the top
of the nation on standardized tests compared to their stateside
peers.
• DoDEA students’ participation rate for the 2014 SAT exam was
75%—among the highest in the nation—versus the national
average of 52%.

– Student2Student (S2S), First-day buddies, Lunch Buddy Groups
and Farewell activities for departing students
– Deployment cycle support such as Hero Hikes, Operation Hero,
Hero Walls, live webcasts of graduation ceremonies, etc.
