BE SHUT
Faithful in character &
keeping His Word
Rev. 3:7 "And to the angel of the
church in Philadelphia write, 'These
things says He who is holy, He who is
true, "HE WHO HAS THE KEY OF
DAVID, HE WHO OPENS AND NO ONE
SHUTS, AND SHUTS AND NO ONE
OPENS": Rev.3:8 "I know your works.
See, I have set before you an open
door, and no one can shut it; for you
have a little strength, have kept My
word, and have not denied My name.
Rev.3:11 Behold, I am coming
quickly! Hold fast what you have,
that no one may take your crown.
Rev.3:12 He who overcomes, I will
make him a pillar in the temple of
My God, and he shall go out no
more. I will write on him the name
of My God and the name of the city
of My God, the New Jerusalem,
which comes down out of heaven
from My God. And I will write on
him My new name.
2Cor.13:4 For though He was
crucified in weakness, yet He lives
by the power of God. For we also
are weak in Him, but we shall live
with Him by the power of God
toward you.
John 3:27-30 - John answered and said,
"A man can receive nothing unless it
has been given to him from heaven.
John 3:28 You yourselves bear me
witness, that I said, 'I am not the
Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before
Him.' John 3:29 He who has the bride
is the bridegroom; but the friend of
the bridegroom, who stands and hears
him, rejoices greatly because of the
bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy
of mine is fulfilled. John 3:30 He must
increase, but I must decrease.
John 5:35 He (John) was the
burning and shining lamp, and you
were willing for a time to rejoice
in his light. John 5:36 But I have a
greater witness than John's; for
the works which the Father has
given Me to finish—the very
works that I do—bear witness of
Me, that the Father has sent Me.
Matt. 11:12 And from the days of
John the Baptist until the present
time, the kingdom of heaven has
endured violent assault, and
violent men seize it by force [as a
precious prize - a share in the
heavenly kingdom is sought with
most ardent zeal and intense

Matt. 25:6 "And at midnight a cry was
heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is
coming; go out to meet him!' Matt. 25:7
Then all those virgins arose and
trimmed their lamps. Matt. 25:8 And
the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us
some of your oil, for our lamps are
going out.' Matt. 25:9 But the wise
answered, saying, 'No, lest there should
not be enough for us and you; but go
rather to those who sell, and buy for
yourselves.' Matt. 25:10 And while they
went to buy, the bridegroom came…
• All of them were virgins - kept their lives
holy and pure.
• All were expecting the bridegroom.
• All of them had lamps (their life/ministry
unto God).
• All of them fell asleep.
• All of them heard the trumpet call.
• All of them then trimmed their wicks and
prepared to go in to the marriage supper
of the bridegroom.
• BUT ONLY 5 were allowed in - they had
extra oil.
The Lord is looking:
• For those in this generation who will rise
up and seek diligently.
• For those who will burn the midnight oil.
• For those who will walk the extra mile.
• For those who turn the other cheeck and
not seek to be right at all cost.
• For those who will not save up earthly
posessions for themselves!
• For those who will give away more than
they budgeted for and not become
fearful.
• For those who are violent in their pursuit
of giving God glory.

Am I SURRENDERED?
Am I seeking diligently?
Am I giving unconditionally?
Am I living holy?
Am I doing all the things I preach to
others to do?
• Where am I right now in my standing
with God?
1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now
may the God of peace
Himself sanctify you
completely; and may your
whole spirit, soul, and body
be preserved blameless at
the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ. (24) He who calls you
is faithful, who also will do
it.
When your SOUL is saved, your
SPIRIT is BORN AGAIN. It becomes
alive because the Spirit of the Lord
moves IN.
Through the Holy Spirit, living in
the spirit of man, the soul is
transformed by the renewing of
the mind, by the surrender of the
will, and the restraint of the
emotions.
Through the working of the Holy
Spirit we are renewed unto the
Kingdom of God.
Prov. 20:27 The spirit of a man is
the lamp of the LORD, searching all
the inner depths of his heart.
The spirit within a man is where
the SPIRIT OF GOD lives in us. It is
His dwelling place.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp
to my feet and a light to my path.
Prov. 6:23 For the commandment is
a lamp, and the law a light;
reproofs of instruction are the way
of life (NKJ)
Prov. 6:23 For the commandment is
a lamp and the teaching is light;
and reproofs for discipline are the
way of life (NASB)
Lamp - Jesus (the WORD of God)
enlightens our lives, and we are
guided by His instructions.
Feet - day to day - here and now
before the LORD
Light - understanding/insight/
guidelines for our lives/calling/way in
which we walk.
Oil - Resources we obtain from God
through spending time with Him binding us to Him in intimacy.
Matt. 5:14 "You are the light of
the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden.
Matt. 5:15 Nor do they light a
lamp and put it under a basket,
but on a lampstand, and it gives
light to all who are in the house.
1 - CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
THIS CROWN IS FOR THOSE
BELIEVER'S WHO WERE READY &
WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF JESUS
- ALL THOSE WHO HAVE LOVED HIS
APPEARING.
2 Tim. 4:8 "Finally, there is laid up for
me the CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will give to me on that Day, and not
to me only but also to all who have
loved His appearing."
2 - INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN
1 Cor. 9:25-27 "Everyone who
Competes for the Prize is temperate
(DISCIPLINED) in ALL THINGS. Now
they do it to obtain a Perishable
CROWN, but we for an IMPERISHABLE
(INCORRUPTIBLE) CROWN. Therefore
I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I
fight: not as one who beats the air. But
I DISCIPLINE MY BODY AND BRING IT
UNTO SUBJECTION, lest, when I have
preached to others, I myself should
become disqualified."
3 - CROWN OF LIFE
THIS IS THE MARTYR'S CROWN
James 1:12 "God blesses those who
Patiently endure Testing and Temptation.
Afterward they will receive the CROWN OF
LIFE that God has promised to those who
love Him."
Rev. 2:10 "Don’t be afraid of what you are
about to suffer. The devil will throw some of
you into prison to Test you. You will suffer
for ten days. But if you remain Faithful even
when facing death, I will give you the
CROWN OF LIFE."
4 - CROWN OF GLORY
1 Pet. 5:2-4 "Care for the FLOCK God
has entrusted to you. Watch over it
willingly, not grudgingly—not for what
you will get out of it, but because you
are eager to serve God. DON'T LORD
OVER THE PEOPLE ASSIGNED TO
YOUR CARE, but LEAD them by your
OWN GOOD EXAMPLE. And when the
Chief Shepherd appears, you will
receive the CROWN OF GLORY that
does not fade away."
5 - CROWN OF REJOICING
THIS IS THE SOUL WINNER'S CROWN FOR BELIEVER'S WHO WERE OBEYING
JESUS' GREAT COMMISSION (MATT
28:19-20)
1 Thess. 2:19 "For what is our hope, or
joy, or CROWN OF REJOICING? Is it
not even YOU in the presence of our
Lord Jesus Christ at His Coming?"
Dan. 12:3 "Those who are wise will
shine as bright as the sky, and those
who LEAD MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS
will shine like the stars forever."

TO THE CROWNS GOD PROMISE
1 - CROWNS & REWARDS ARE TO BE
GUARDED
Rev. 3:11 Jesus says, "I am coming
soon. Hold on to what you have, so
that NO ONE WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR
CROWN."

TO THE CROWNS GOD PROMISE
2 - TO BE GUARDED AGAINST
DECEIVERS & SPIRITUAL DECEPTION
2 John 1:7-8 "I say this because MANY
DECEIVERS have gone out into the
world. They deny that Jesus Christ came
in a real body. Such a person is a
DECEIVER and an Antichrist. Watch out
that you do NOT LOSE what we have
worked so hard to achieve. BE
DILIGENT SO THAT YOU RECEIVE YOUR
FULL REWARD."
OUR RESPONSIBILITY WITH REGARDS
TO THE CROWNS GOD PROMISE
3 - CROWNS ARE LOST WHEN A GOOD
DEED IS DONE WITH WRONG
MOTIVES
Matt. 6:2 Jesus says, "Therefore, when
you do a CHARITABLE DEED, do NOT
sound a Trumpet before you as the
Hypocrites do in the synagogues and
in the streets, that they may have
GLORY FROM MEN. Assuredly, I say to
you, THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD."
2 Cor. 4:16-18 (NKJV) “Therefore we
DO NOT LOSE HEART. Even though our
OUTWARD MAN is PERISHING, yet the
INWARD MAN is being RENEWED DAY
by DAY. For our LIGHT AFFLICTION,
which is but for a MOMENT, is working
for us a FAR more EXCEEDING &
ETERNAL WEIGHT of GLORY, while we
do NOT LOOK at the things which are
SEEN, but at the things which are NOT
SEEN. For the things which are SEEN
are TEMPORARY, but the things which
are NOT SEEN are ETERNAL.”
Mal 3:16 Then those who feared the
LORD spoke to one another, And the
LORD listened and heard them; So a
book of remembrance was written
before Him For those who fear the LORD
And who meditate on His name.
Mal 3:17 "They shall be Mine," says the
LORD of hosts, "On the day that I make
them My jewels. And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves
him."
