Curricular Practical Training (CPT) CPT is an off-campus work authorization that is approved by Bay State academic departments for student internships of 12 months of full-time work. Bachelor Degree students will usually participate in 2 semester-long CPT internships.* • 2. Optional Practical Training (OPT) OPT is a 12-month fulltime work authorization approved by USCIS to work in the field of study upon completion of a student’s degree program. USCIS authorization can take up to 4 months to obtain. • Job Placement Rates Bay State regularly achieves graduate job placement rates of 80% and above! *If interested in participating for the full 12 months, student must enroll in CPT for concurrent semesters • • • Bay State students will live in one of our historic brownstones on Commonwealth Ave On-campus housing is within walking distance to all Bay State classes Rooms range in size from 2-4 people per room and are supplied with all needed furniture and beds Student Housing Fees & How to Apply 1. Submit application with copy of English results and academic transcripts 2. Bay State College notifies acceptance by issuing an Offer Letter with program of study listed 3. In order to receive I-20: • Make deposit • Submit Financial documentation: bank statements totaling the cost of tuition and letter of support 4. Receive I-20 5. Book US visa interview appointment 6. On receipt of visa, arrange payment for balance of first semester fees 7. Finalize health insurance & immunizations 8. Book travel to Boston for the Bay State Orientation Program 9. Start classes in the USA! *All payments, immunizations and travel arrangements must be submitted to Bay State 15 days prior to arrival Fees & How to Apply 2014-2015 $USD per Year Foundation w/o Housing $24,060 Annual Comprehensive fee $500 One time Orientation Fee $100 Campus Housing $12,100 *Fees are subject to change annually *If student is interested in attending one term, please ask for pricing (cont.) Available for a Limited Time Only: Up to $12,000 Discount through Presidential Scholarship Program! This scholarship is available to only those students referred by agents who have attended today’s event and will be applied during the student’s first year. Valid for applications sent on or before July 31, 2014. BSC Free Housing for Direct Entry Students Direct Entry Students: For students who have met the IELTS requirement of 6.0 OBS and qualify as Direct Entry Bachelor students, they will be eligible for a one-year free housing at BSC! This means that student will not pay for housing in term 1 and term 2 of his/her first year. Eligibility Requires that: 1. Student is one of the firs 10 DE students to receive a VISA, confirm attendance and housing and pay for first semester’s tuition. 2. Student is applying for September 2014 intake. BSC Agent Incentives and STEM Extension Agent Incentive: We will be discussing this with you on our visit to your office. STEM Extension: Apart from OPT (which already gives students of BSC to work in the US for one year after graduating), international students who are enrolled in the course Management of Information Systems can also take advantage of the STEM extension and extend their visa for an additional 17 months after they complete the 12 months OPT!
